Blog is taking a leave of absence
Or, after 113 postings Blog and I need a rest.
When I started blogging on EP topics last February, my objective was to highlight issues and explore them based on my own experiences in 30 years of practice. To do it in a readable fashion. And to keep postings short and sweet.
Some people thought I had accomplished that objective. Others were critical for one reason or another, and their comments are included from time to time in the Comments section of the Blog or in emails sent not for publication.
I learned that focusing on EP issues which would have relevance to ordinary families, and to do so in a readable, useful and interesting way, took more time than I had thought it would. After about a year of blogging, I have concluded that this is a difficult job for a sole practitioner conducting a practice of estate planning law.
I have decided that as a result I haven’t done justice to my practice, to my Blog or to myself and family.
So, Blog and I are taking a leave of absence until I can organize my practice in a way to do justice to all three.
My thanks to the readers of Goerth’s PA Estate Planning Blog, who have given encouragement and made contributions. And to my clients over the years whose experiences contributed to the observations in these postings, whether they knew it or not.

Sorry to hear this Charles. I have enjoyed following along and learning from your insight since I discovered you Googling for Anna Nicole Smith for a paper. Blogging is time consuming…I will keep your feed just in case.

Charlie. We’ll miss your site and look forward to it if you decide to reinstate. I always felt it gave me a lot to think about - and I love your wry sense of humor.
